Algiers Centre, Casbah or the suburbs: which to choose?
- Casbah and Bab El Oued: the lowest prices, walking distance from the historic centre and the Grande Poste.
- Algiers Centre (Didouche Mourad, Audin): a little more expensive, but everything is on foot, with the metro and tramway.
- Bordj El Kiffan, Aïn Taya, Chéraga: bigger rooms for the price; plan a taxi or a car.
- Near the airport (Dar El Beïda, Bab Ezzouar): practical for an early flight.
How to pay less
- Book on weekdays: prices often rise at the weekend.
- Compare a night earlier or later: a few days' difference sometimes changes the price by 20%.
