The former Sheraton Oran
Long known as the Sheraton Oran Hotel & Towers, the hotel left the Sheraton brand and joined the Accor group as Hotel Oran Bay. The building, the tower that marks the seafront of eastern Oran, is the same: if you are looking for the Sheraton hotel in Oran, this is it.
Not to be confused with the Four Points by Sheraton Oran, another hotel also on Route des Falaises.
Location: Haï Ibn Rochd, Route des Falaises
The hotel is in Haï Ibn Rochd, on Route des Falaises, in eastern Oran. Rooms on the upper floors offer wide views over the sea and the bay.
The city centre, the seafront and the Santa Cruz fort can be reached by car or taxi. Ahmed Ben Bella international airport is 15 to 30 minutes by road depending on traffic.
Rooms and facilities
The hotel has 321 rooms in several categories, including suites (comfort, superior and executive). Reception is open 24 hours; check-in is from 3 pm and check-out by 12 pm. Room service is available.
To relax: an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, a spa with hammam and a gym. Parking is free, on two levels.
Restaurants, conferences and weddings
Le Canastel serves a buffet all day; the Atrium, in the lobby, is a tea room and bar. The hotel has several meeting rooms and a large modular ballroom of about 800 m², which hosts conferences, trade shows, galas and weddings for several hundred guests. It is one of Oran's reference venues for major events.
For a leisure stay, the hotel is a good base to discover Oran: the seafront and Boulevard de l'ALN, the Place du 1er-Novembre and its theatre, the Sidi El Houari district and, in summer, the beaches of the western corniche. Families appreciate the indoor pool in winter.
