Staying in the M'Zab Valley
The M'Zab Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is made up of five ksour founded nearly a thousand years ago: Ghardaïa, Beni Isguen, Melika, Bou Noura and El Atteuf. Staying in a traditional house lets you live at the valley's pace, between ksour, palm groves and markets.
Meals and visits
Meals are cooked on site, with traditional Mozabite dishes. The house can help you arrange visits to the ksour and the palm grove; in Beni Isguen, visits are made with a local guide.
When to go
From October to April the days are mild; summer is very hot. Winter and spring holidays are in high demand and a guesthouse has few rooms: book ahead.
