A Fernand Pouillon hotel
Gourara is one of the Saharan hotels designed by Fernand Pouillon, the French architect behind several major tourist hotels in Algeria. Built in terraces, it opens onto the palm grove and blends into the landscape.
From the balconies and terraces, the view over the oasis and dunes is one of the finest in Timimoun, especially at sunset.
Location, pool and rooms
On Rue Ouled Brahim, at the edge of the palm grove and close to the town; Timimoun airport is about 7 km away.
The hotel has a pool, a restaurant, free parking and Wi-Fi. Single, double, twin rooms and suites with private bathroom, many with a balcony or terrace. It is an older hotel whose charm lies in its architecture and view.
