Marhaba Hotel Casbah is a fully renovated hotel, reopened in June 2026, at the foot of the Casbah of Algiers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. About a hundred metres from Place des Martyrs metro station, it is the ideal base to explore the old town, its historic mosques and Ottoman palaces on foot.

In the heart of historic Algiers

The hotel is on Rue Ali Tamglit, in the lower Casbah, a short walk from Place des Martyrs. You can walk to the Ketchaoua mosque, Djamaa El Kebir (the Great Mosque on Rue de la Marine), Djamaa El Djedid and the Dar Aziza and Dar Mustapha Pacha palaces.

The Palais des Raïs (Bastion 23), Square Port-Saïd and the Algerian National Theatre are about ten minutes' walk away. Climbing the alleys of the Casbah, you reach the Citadel.

Houari Boumediene airport: about 20 km, 30 to 45 minutes by taxi or ride-hailing depending on traffic. You can also book your transfer on Nreservi.

Port: the Algiers ferry terminal is about a kilometre away, convenient if you arrive by boat.
