Many travellers still search for the Renaissance hotel in Tlemcen: it is the same property. Long operated under the Renaissance brand, it moved in September 2026 to the Alcazar banner, the first Algerian luxury hotel brand, launched by the Société d'Investissement Hôtelier (SIH). The building, the 204 rooms and suites and the location on the Lalla Setti plateau are unchanged.

Lalla Setti is the plateau overlooking Tlemcen. The hotel is quiet, away from city-centre traffic, yet a few minutes by car from the old town, the Great Mosque and the Méchouar. Tlemcen Messali El Hadj airport is at Zenata, outside the city: plan a taxi or a transfer.
